Sleep can change how you feel big time!

Not getting enough sleep? Even little things can make you grumpy or short with people. We don’t think straight when we’re tired. So, how much sleep do you need to be in a good mood?

Eight hours!

Here’s the scoop: You need about eight hours of sleep to feel good and think straight. So, it makes sense that this much sleep also keeps you happy and positive. Want proof? A study by Jawbone says so. So, now you have a reason to hit the snooze button!

What’s Jawbone?

Jawbone’s a company that tracks how active people are. They checked loads of data to see how sleep affects mood.

Turns out, people who got between eight to nine and a half hours of sleep were the happiest. But, watch out! Sleep more than that, and you might feel a bit down. So, too much sleep isn’t the best either.

Need a tad more?

Always getting your eight hours but still feeling off? Always tucking in early but waking up grouchy? Maybe try sleeping just a smidge longer. An extra hour could make you 5% happier when you wake up!

So, let’s get a good amount of sleep, but not too much, and you’ll always start the day with a smile!
