Missed Beyoncé’s show in Pittsburgh? No worries! You can catch her Renaissance World Tour at the movies.
There’s a new movie about Beyoncé’s mega 39-city tour, and it’s hitting North American theaters on Dec. 1. AMC Theaters spilled the beans on Monday.
This isn’t the only big music star movie this fall. Remember “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” coming out on Oct. 13? Just like that, AMC’s dropping “Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé” all on its own, without any big studio helping out.
You can grab tickets starting at $22 (plus some tax). It’ll be playing for at least a month, AMC says.
Beyoncé’s no stranger to movies. Remember her 2019 Netflix hit, “Homecoming”? It showed off her big show at Coachella in 2018. Word is, both Beyoncé and Taylor Swift are pocketing half the ticket sales from their movies with AMC.
This new movie? It’s all about Beyoncé’s tour for her award-winning 2022 album “Renaissance.” Expect awesome concert clips and behind-the-scenes moments from the tour start in Stockholm to the end in Kansas City.
That Pittsburgh show got canned because of some “production stuff,” but neither Acrisure Stadium nor Beyoncé said much more.
This tour? Huge! About 2.7 million people saw it live, and it raked in nearly $500 million, says Billboard.
“It is about Beyoncé’s intention, hard work, involvement in every aspect of the production, her creative mind and purpose to create her legacy, and master her craft,” The film’s blurb says.
Beyoncé dropped a teaser on her Instagram, saying, “Be careful what you ask for, ’cause I just might comply.”
