With Blake Shelton leaving his longtime role as a coach, “The Voice” is roping in more stars from the country music scene.

After dropping hints on social media about a groundbreaking “double chair” in 2024, the show disclosed on June 22 that the Grammy-winning pair, Dan + Shay, are coming onboard for the 25th season next year.

The NBC show verified in a press release that Dan + Shay will occupy the double red chairs alongside Reba McEntire, John Legend, and Chance the Rapper for the Spring 2024 season.

“The Voice” also tweeted the scoop and gave a glimpse of Dan + Shay’s names on the iconic rotating chairs.

The pair retweeted the post, adding, “SO EXCITED FOR THIS!”

The “Speechless” crooners are the most recent country artists stepping in after Shelton bid his official goodbye to the talent show in May. Earlier, the show unveiled that McEntire, last season’s super mentor, would fill his slot on the coaching panel.

She cheekily sat in his chair during the Season 23 finale.

Ex-coaches John Legend, Gwen Stefani, and newcomer Niall Horan, who joined “The Voice” last season, round out the coaching squad for Season 24.

Twitter buzz suggested that Dan + Shay would return to the show after glimpses of the double chairs. The “Tequila” singers were once advisors for Shelton’s team during Season 20, but this marks the first time a duo will guide contestants throughout the season.

Twitter fans cheered on Dan + Shay, welcoming them to “The Voice” clan.

“Wait WHAT?! Ahhhh so happy for yous!” one fan tweeted, adding a red heart emoji.

Another one posted, “IM SO EXCITED TO WATCH THIS!!!! Rooting for ya’ll to win.”

After launching their “Good Things” album in 2021, the duo stepped back from the limelight.

They reassured fans in March that they were working on fresh projects.

“Hi, we’ve been quiet on social media lately but wanted to check in and let y’all know we’re alive,” they tweeted. “We’ve been spending every single day in the studio working on a new album that we can’t wait for you to hear.”

Earlier this month, they returned to performing at CMA Fest 2023.

While fans wait to see if Dan + Shay can craft a winning plan on “The Voice,” they can catch the duo live next month. They’ll perform in New York City on July 21 as part of the Citi Concert Series on TODAY.

Registration for Dan + Shay Fan Passes is open now. Fans can also join the General Admission queue on the concert morning.
