Caught on Cam: Cavalcante’s Chester County Prison Break!

Hold onto your seats, people, because what went down at Chester County Prison in West Chester is stuff for the movies. Around an hour from Philly, on the morning of August 31, 2023, Danelo Cavalcante, a man with a murderer’s rap sheet, pulled a vanishing act from his cell in just under twenty minutes!

At a recent presser, they rolled out some jaw-dropping footage. There’s Cavalcante, dressed in a plain white tee, black pants, and white kicks, slyly glancing around before making a bold move towards a razor-sharp fence. Like a scene straight out of Spiderman, this guy goes horizontal, using the wall as his leverage, and climbs up till he’s outta sight.

If this gives you déjà vu, you’re not alone. Turns out, another dude, Igor Bolte, took the same escape route earlier in May. After that stunt, the big shots decided to go all out with the razor wire, thinking it’d be a foolproof plan. But, they clearly underestimated Cavalcante’s audacity.

Now, here’s the kicker: there was a guard on duty! But, with a basketball match in full swing, maybe the guy got sidetracked. And despite the place being decked out with 160 cameras, it seems everyone might’ve missed the main event on screen.

While the big bosses scramble to figure out who slipped up, the lookout dude from the tower’s got some time off – the “enforced” kind.

Flash forward, and Cavalcante’s been playing a game of hide-and-seek. Spotted a couple of times around Pocopson Township, but still on the run. And with the bounty on his head doubling to $20,000, it’s like a real-life treasure hunt.

Lt. Col. George Bivens of the Pennsylvania State Police is pretty sure Cavalcante’s headed down south. According to him, Cavalcante’s out there, without a roof or a steady meal, traversing some wild landscapes. This is a “difficult existence for someone trying to do this,” Bivens said, “being hunted adds a whole different level of stress.”

Bivens added that law enforcement is “not going anywhere until we catch him.”
